Switching light curtains are perfect for monitoring large measurement fields. They react as soon as anything or anyone penetrates this field. Their fast configuration and simple handling save time and money compared to imaging processes. Thanks to different beam spacings and measurement field lengths, switching light curtains can be used to solve a range of application problems.

Narrow design

The cost-optimized, CSL 505 switching light curtain is specially designed for simple applications. With its slim design of 10 mm, integrated evaluation unit and large opening angle for quick and simple alignment, is can be used for projection monitoring, free field monitoring and object detection. Beam spacings between 5 and 100 mm and measurement field lengths up to 3100 mm or 5 m operating range.

Standard design

The CSL 710 switching light curtain is available with selectable resolution, various measurement field lengths and many useful technical details, such as a display for simple alignment. These light curtains feature four configurable inputs or outputs and, with a response time of 30 μs per beam, are also ideally suited for fast sequences. The easy-to-read display offers five languages for simple adjustment and configuration.

Reflection principle

The CSR 780 is a switching light curtain that functions according to the reflection principle and has high resolution and fast response time specifically for counting objects on machines or for ejection monitoring. With the reflection principle, an operating range up to 700 mm and gapless detection of small objects, e.g., 10 x 10 x 1 mm at up to 3.5 m/s are possible. Furthermore, readjustment is performed in the event of soiling and a warning output is provided for prefailure messages.
