Leuze Fork sensors

Sensors with convincing cost effectiveness

Fork sensors combine transmitter and receiver into a single device and therefore feature high operational reliability. They are characterized by simple mounting without the need for alignment as well as high sensitivity. The fork sensors are used for detecting small parts or for detecting labels and print marks, even on transparent films.

Object detection

Fork sensors with mouth widths between 5 and 220 mm are ideal for the detection of small parts. High sensitivities and short response times facilitate simple and reliable integration of these sensors in fast automation processes. In addition, light/dark switching is also available.

  • Small part detection with fork widths between 5 and 220 mm
  • Metal or stainless steel housing design
  • Short response time
  • Light/dark switching

Label detection

With fork sensors, labels of a wide range of material combinations and surfaces can be detected precisely and quickly – even at high web speeds. The product range includes various designs and operating principles – from light to ultrasonics. These fork sensors are available in slimline-design, i.e., with a reduced fork height with 3 mm fork width for installation directly at the dispensing edge. Furthermore, they offer an ALC function (auto level control) for maximum function reserve via automatic optimization of the switching threshold. They are easy to adjust optionally via potentiometer, a lockable teach button or a teach input.

  • Reliable detection of a wide range of material combinations and surfaces
  • Precise detection, even at high web speeds
  • Large range of designs and operating principles (optical/ultrasonics)
